Rules

By using or referencing any part, page, or section of AnnwnLore, You agree to the following rules:

1. No AI

You are not allowed to use any material; text, image, or otherwise, that is on any page of this website in the training of AI models. You may not feed any material; text, image, or otherwise, that is on any page of this website into an AI for any reason or purpose whatsoever. Failure to comply will result in legal action being taken against you.

2. No Commercial Use

Ideas, text, and images contained on pages of this website are for developing a deeper understanding of the world of Annwn as portrayed within books written by Macee Carson. They are not to be used for any commercial works (anything you make money off of in any way -even ads, streaming, or videos-) of any kind. Failure to comply will result in legal action being taken against you.

3. Fanart and Fan merch Limited

Fanart/Fan merch is different from our rules on commercial use as you are welcome to sell it up to a certain extent:

You may sell any fanart/fan merch product you produce without restriction up to the point of $5000 in sales (not profits, but sales) within one calendar year or less. So, as soon as you hit $5000 in one calendar year or less, this applies to you.
After $5000 in one calendar year in sales (again, not profits, but total sales), you must take down all listings and cease sale of all products related to or inspired by any of our works/lore/ideas until we can reach an agreement. This will likely just be to make sure you aren't a factory printing and selling thousands of items.
Even after an agreement is reached, you must be aware that if you reach $100,000 in one calendar year in sales of products related to or inspired by any of our works/lore/ideas, you must follow the procedure as outlined here: You must take down all listings and cease sale of all products related to or inspired by any of our works/lore/ideas until we can reach a new agreement. At this point it may entail legal action taken against you because unless you can 100% prove you are not a factory, and in fact are just a small business, it would mean you would have lied in the initially established agreement. If you can prove you are just a small business, then that's absolutely amazing, and all the power to you!
The goal here is to prevent big companies from taking advantage of small communities, and keeping the merch production in the hands of the fans themselves.
To make it absolutely clear: No large scale production or factory use or large company use of anything inspired by anything on our website is allowed without our explicit written permission. Period.
Fans deserve to be able to make art about things they enjoy, and they deserve to be able to sell that art as a small business without big corpo stomping all over them as their competition.

4. Personal Use Permitted!

Creating your own character(s) based upon the world of Annwn is absolutely encouraged given it is for personal use only. You are more than welcome to use these characters and lore in any roleplay setting that is not monetized.

Some OK Examples:

A-OK personal use - Making a character using Annwn lore to use in a public roleplay forum or roleplay server.
A-OK personal use - Using Annwn lore for a private roleplay server or forum that will just involve a small group of friends/family and you will not monetarily profit from running in any way shape or form.
A-OK personal use - Writing and publishing fanfiction (<This is actually so very much encouraged, so please tag me or message me if you do!>)!! As long as you do not profit from the sale of it! Exception = Having a Patreon where fans support you creating your works in general, but you can't directly sell any of the work through means like paid pdfs, paperbacks, or audiobook-type files.

Some Not OK Examples:

NOT OK use - Making a character using Annwn lore to use in a streamed and/or recorded SMP playthrough.
NOT OK use - Using Annwn lore as your lore for a roleplay forum or server you are making that is open to the public in any way and/or a server or forum that you profit from.
NOT OK use - Writing and publishing any work that you intend to sell for any kind of profit whatsoever. This falls under rule #2.

Final Note

Any usage not outlined in these rules can be assumed to be NOT PERMITTED, but if you have any questions, please submit a contact form!
